Itinerary Round Trip Cruise Bagan To Bagan

7 Nights Cruise Rtm 7b – Bagan-Mandalay-Bagan -Mt Popa 

 

Day 1 – Saturday (Yangon – Bagan)

In the morning, we will be taking one of many domestic flight from Yangon to Bagan.  On arrival, transportation will be provided for all the visitors to the Road to mandalay berthed on the Ayeyarwaddy River.  We will arrives to Bagan which is comprise of over 2,000 temples and pagodas remain on this awe-inspiring plain.  A guided tour will be provided for all the visitors but it will only be heading to several famous temples and pagodas.  After having lunch, all visitors will have a chance to go around the city on their own arragement for freedom and then rejoin the guided tour, visit the inside of some of the more significant pagodas.  In alternative, visitors can hire a bike or horse-drawn cart and explore the area.  Before the evening, visitors will be guided to enjoy the breathtaking vista of eth sun setting over the plain.  Dinner and local entertainment will be provided. 

Day 2 – Sunday (Bagan – Mandalay)

After having breakfast, a guided tour will introduces us to more of Bagan important and famous temples and the local market.  In alternative, you can hire a bike or horse-drawn cart and explore the area around on your own.  Mid-morning the Road to Mandalay begins its cruise north towards Mandalay.  Relaxation on the top deck and watch the fascinating river life glide by.  An on board guide lectureres on local places and customs.  The shop moors mid-river for the evening.  Dinner and local entertainment will be provided. 

Day 3 – Monday (Mandalay)

Arrive at the quaint little village of Shwe Kyet Yet after lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the key sights of Mandalay regarded as the centre of Burmese culture and Buddhist learning. Return to Road To Mandalay stopping enroute to admire sunset over the river. Dinner and local entertainment.  

Day 4 – Tuesday (Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay)

After breakfast, cruise to Mingun. Visit the most important sights such as the pretty Hsinbyume Pagoda and the world’s largest uncracked bell. Return by ferry for a late lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Sagaing Hills, considered to be the living centre of the Buddhist faith in Burma. Sagaing is also famous for its silver and silversmiths who still work in much the same way as their ancestors did. Dinner and local entertainment.  

Day 5 – Wednesday (Mandalay)

Visit Maymyo, a colonial hill station set high in the mountains. Soak up the atmosphere with its cool climate, English style houses, colourful market and beautiful botanic gardens. A typical Shan lunch is taken at a colonial house. Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.  

Day 6 – Thursday (Mandalay – Ava – Bagan)

Enjoy a morning to Ava the capital of Burmese Kingdom for almost 500 years.  Sightseeing include the magnificent wooden Bagaya Kyaung Monastery and the Nanmyin Watchtower.  Returning to the ship for lunch as the ship will be set sail to Bagan.  Relaxation on board in the afernoon or listen to the onboard lecturere in the longue.  Dinner on board. 

Day 7 – Friday (Bagan – Mount Popa)

Arrive mid morning into Bagan. Take an excursion to Mount Popa, believed to be the sacred home of the Nats and is now a national park. On top of a rocky crag is a picturesque complex of monasteries, pagodas and shrines, which you can climb to via a winding, covered walkway. Return to the ship for dinner and local entertainment.  

Day 8 – Saturday (Bagan- Yangon)

After an early breakfast you are transferred to Bagan airport for your onward flight to Yangon.
